Tex-Mex

Mexican-style food, some with Aztec origins, but now "Americanised". This was heavily-influenced by German immigrants, who preferred their food to be blander than authentic versions. Examples are Chili con Carne and Enchiladas. See "Chili con Carne"; "Enchiladas"

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
