A Jewish, syrup-soaked, egg-rich, semolina cake from the Sephardic tradition. The cake is flavoured with ground nuts, cinnamon and grated citrus zest; and once baked sits in a sugar sugar. It"s also called Revani after a 16th century Turkish poet. Tishpishti is a traditional Rosh Hashanah, and special occasion dessert. See 'Rosh Hashanah'
