Trout; Sea/Salmon (Salmo Trutta)

A form of trout that, like the salmon, lives part of its life at sea and part in fresh river waters. It grows up to 1 metre in length, but those living mainly in rivers are smaller. It is considered by gourmets to have all the flavours of salmon, plus a certain delicacy. Snap one up if you find one for sale! Known as 'Sewin' in Wales, 'Breac geal' in Ireland and 'Sil' in the Faroe Islands.
