(1787-1859) The author of one of Italy's mostpopular 19th century cookery books - and actually the Duke of Buonvicino.
It was first published in 1837, under the title 'La cucina teorico-practica' - but there were six further additions, and the name and contents changed. It focused on the traditional cooking of Naples, and shows an excellent insight into the domestic cooking of the times, before it was influenced by other regions and countries.
