The fruit of the house-plant nicknamed 'The Swiss Cheese Plant', because of the holes in its leaves. The whole spadix can be peeled and is delicious in fruit salads - it can also be chopped and made into jam.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards.
