A dessert incorporating Strawberries, and small pieces of meringue. The story goes that it was invented by accident, when some parents were attending the school's July 4th celebrations (a grand annual picnic for boys and their parents), when one family motored down with a strawberry and meringue pavlova. This met with an accident, and had to be eaten from champagne flutes. Raspberries, aren't authentic, but can be added, as they make a marvellous contrast, if making Eton Mess at home.
