Fisher, M. F. K (Mary Frances Kennedy)

(1908 - 1992) A famous America writer, whose output included some excellent books concerning food - some containing collected essays.

The most famous are 'The Gastronomical Me', 1943; 'Here Let Us Feast' 1946; 'An Alphabet for Gourmets', 1949; and 'With a Bold Knife', 1968. She was also largely responsible for a Time-Life volume 'The Cooking of Provincial France' in 1969.
