A table-top apparatus for preparing fondues. It consists of a stand, holding a burner (which is usually powered by methylated spirits) - on top of which rests a saucepan-like container designed to hold the hot oil for cooking, or the cheese for dunking bread. The set is completed by a set of long, pronged, forks which are sometimes individually colour-coded, allowing each diner to have his/her own.
