Gur cake

A type of fruit cake emanating from Dublin. The cake is made with raisins with are mixed with water and stale bread or cake and baked on a puff pastry base. In other parts of Ireland it might be called Chester cake, Donkey's gudge/gunge and Donkey's wedding cake.
