Pennyroyal (Mentha Pulegium)
A plant of the mint family, and in size, its smallest member. It's native to most parts of Europe. The leaves are highly aromatic, and although it was once popular as a flavouring for pork stuffings and in the flavouring of black pudding, it's now seldom-used in Britain, as its flavour is considered to be too pronounced.
