Mushrooms; Eryngii (Pleurotus Eryngii)

A type of mushroom particularly-popular in Japan, where they are sometimes known as 'chicken drumsticks', on account of their bulbous stems. They are good sliced in vegetarian dishes, and have a sweet/nutty flavour. They are also sometimes known as 'King Trumpet Mushrooms'.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
