Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides)

A small tree growing close to the sea in certain parts of Britain, as well as in Eastern Asia. It produces orange berries, which have a rather bland flavour when raw, but make good jams and jellies. Jane Grigson also successfully made them into ice cream.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
