Aniseed; Medicinal uses

An infusion of aniseed helps digestion, improves appetite and is known to promote energy circulation and increase the metabolic rate - so useful if trying to lose weight.

As a tisane, aniseed can be used to stimulate milk production in nursing mothers, and is thought by some to bring on delayed menstruation.

An infusion is made with one teaspoon of crushed seed boiled with a cup of water and allowed to steep for 10 minutes.
