Ambrose; Saint (c.340-397)

The patron saint of beekeepers, and Bishop of Milan between 374 and 397. Ambrose's father of important Roman stock and was Prefect of Arles, Lyons and Trier - the three principle cities of Gallia - and was probably born in one of them. For more information see the excellent Catholic Encyclopedia
