Chocolate; UK Labelling Definitions

In Britain the following minimum standards apply -

Chocolate: A product labelled such must contain a minimum of 35% dry cocoa solids, but these must include > 18% cocoa butter and > 14% dry non-fat cocoa solids.

Milk Chocolate: This must contain a minimum of 25% dry cocoa solids, > 14% dry milk solids, > 2.5% dry non-fat cocoa solids, > 3.5% milk fat, and > 25% total fat.

Many EU countries question wether our milk chocolate has the right to be called chocolate at all!
