Snipe (Gallinago Gallinago)

A small brown game bird with a long bill. They are hard to come by, unless you have friends that shoot, but make excellent eating - one needed per person. They should be treated in the manner of a woodcock.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
