Berwick Edge

An unpasteurised cows' milk cheese produced by the Maxwell’s from their herd of cows, reared in the Glendale Valley, at Doddington Dairy, Wooler, Northumberland. It resembles a Dutch Gouda, in style, but is more moist and creamy and has a strong, fruity, after taste. It’s matured for between 8-12 months, and when fully mature is strong and vigorous in flavour. Cheeses are made in 2.5kg and 5kg sizes. For more information see (
