Adzuki Beans

Small, round, reddish-brown beans, popular in China and Japan. They need soaking overnight, before being boiled in fresh water, in the style of all dried beans.

They are also available in paste-form from east-Asian groceries. This is good served with pancakes, and the like, perhaps with berries and ice cream.
