Galen (129-199AD):

A Greek physician, who as well as writing books on philosophy and medicine, also wrote early theories on how diet influenced our health. His most famous volume in this respect was 'On the Properties of Foods', in which he 'weighed' foods for their effect on human behavior - rating each hot or cold, wet or dry. See 'Four Humours'
