Pizza oven - traditional
A type of oven, dating from ancient times (and originally used for making bread, and possibly shared amongst families) made of brick or stone, and powered by wood. It takes a few hours to reach its operating temperature, so commercially, most restaurants offering pizzas rely on electric versions. These, however, impart no character to the product. Restaurants, cooking with a wood-fired oven should be sought out.
