This is water that contains natural mineral constituents gathered from the rocks over which it has flowed - some are naturally slightly effervescent, some have carbon dioxide added to make them fizzy, and some are naturally still. Because of public fears about the pollution of British tap water with treatment chemicals (and suchlike), plus a fashion trend, minerals water sales have soared.
