Whitby Gingerbread

A localised Yorkshire-style of gingerbread, that's been made in the area for hundreds of years. It resembles a loaf of bread, and is delicious sliced thinly, buttered and eaten with cheese (such as Wensleydale or Coverdale).

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
