Capelin (mallotus villosus)

A small fish of the smelt family, occurring in the North Atlantic; it grows up to about 25 cm. It has received little popularity as a food in Britain, although it is popular in Greenland, where it is known as Angmagssaq. It is a prime food for Cod.
