Jollof rice

A spicy 'risotto-style' dish thought to have originated in the Gambia, but now popular all over West Africa.

The rice flavourings vary, but generally include onions and tomatoes and often chicken - or other meat.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
