Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma):

A sub-tropical fruit native to Peru, resembling a hand-sized mango. The fruit has a sweet flavoured resembling cooked sweet potato.

In Britain, it is most often found in powdered form, which is good for flavouring ice cream.
