Cat's Claw (Uncaria Tomentosa)

A herb growng in the South American rain forest, it's been hailed in recent years as a booster to the immune system, and has been found to be beneficial in the treatment of AIDS and cancer.

Research is being carried out in several countries, which includes checking its possible benefits in the treatment of acne, arthritis, allergies, cancer and ulcers; and there's been an increasing demand for cat's claw at health food shops where it's sold as a 'tea' and as capsules.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards.
