A herb of the liliaceae family, resembling our chives in appearance, but with flatter stems, and both stronger in flavour (this being slightly garlicy), and more fibrous in texture. Sometimes known as Garlic chives.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
