Byfords Traditional Fresh Foods - Rayleigh

29 High Street, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 7EW
An excellent butcher, being one of the founder members of the now prestigious Q Guild of butchers.

But here, they offer much more than top-quality meat - including a good selection of British and Continental cheeses; an enormous range of prepared items for the barbecue (including their own made-up marinades); meat pies, from their in-house bakery; and prepared salads - such as 'Waldorf'; 'Florida'; 'Coronation' and 'Fruit'.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.

What did you like about the Food Shop?

Nothing, everything doesn't taste the same!!!

What did you not like about the Food Shop?

I bought a steak and mushroom pie ( which used to be so tasty and nice) it was horrible, also bought a pork pie, and pate the recipe has changed from the previous owner, I was so disappointed, I am not the only person to think this the shop is never as busy as it once was!!!!
