More than 30 types of bread are baked in the bakery at the rear of this shop, by partners Stephen Taylor and Sally Hinchliffe. After 20 years, awards are starting to flow deservedly and freely.
All bread types being hand-made, and free of any additives. Other offerings include an impressive range of cakes, savouries, pizzas and flans - all made to the same high standard.
Their cakes tend to be low on cream, but on added salt and sugar as well - indeed, one variety has no eggs, fat or sugar, just pure fruit.
Other specialities are Pear and Honey Gingerbread, Yorkshire Curd Tart and Bread and Butter Pudding.
