The Plumley's have been farming here for about 400 years. They now run this good farmers shop offering pork from their rare-breed pigs, beef from their Sussex and Sussex/Aberdeen Angus cattle, plus top-quality lamb, free-range chickens and seasonal turkeys. They are in the process of 'Organic Conversion' and will be able to label to their own meat as such by the autumn of 2009.
They also sell carefully-sourced local grocery items plus some fruit and local vegetables.
Summer months bring Cream Teas with clotted cream, scones and homemade jam.
If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
