Wendy Brandon and her team make about 150 varieties of luxurypreserves, using old fashioned cooking methods, in premises convertedfrom an 18th century corn mill. The ingredients are the best qualityavailable, and nothing synthetic is used.
Four distinct ranges are offered - 'green label' preserves are allmade without salt or added sugar, just sweetened with apple juice.Those with orange labels, mainly marmalades, are sweetened with amixture of apple juice and cane sugar. Red labelsindicate preserves made with cane sugar in the traditional way. While'blue label' is their international range, with ideas from around theworld, such as Pineapple pickle and Aubergine chutney. Excellent fruitvinegars are also a popular line, and a new organic 'Rose PetalPreserve', redolent of Turkish Delight, is delicious.
