Useful little shop, with many Portuguese specialities, efficiently run by the Cardoso's.
They also sell a diversification of foods of what is now described as Mediterranean; this includes items such as Greek pilavuna bread, home-made taramasalata and houmous, fresh herbs plus a good range of pulses and spices. They make their own Caldo Verde (very thinly sliced green cabbage for Portuguese soup).
If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
