What did you like about the Food Shop?
The range of cheeses is fantastic - especially the 4 year old Dutch Gouda - very rare to get in London, let alone the UK
What did you not like about the Food Shop?
The staff are untrained and do not know how to cut cheese. When I asked for mature Gouda to be cut the staff insisted on cutting it through the middle of the cheese thus giving me two large pieces of rind - another customer protested that this was not the way to cut cheese but the staff simply said it was too difficult to do it any other way. This is supposed to be an International Cheese Shop. It is difficult to cut mature cheeses (which should be cut like cake) - but that is surely why staff need training and patience - better to go to a professional cheese shop like the one in Marylybone - otherwise for a piece of cheese costing £10 one is paying at least a fiver for the rind!
