First rate family butcher that has built up excellent supply lines over a history of more than 130 years.
All their meat is free range and some organic, and includes Glenbervie pure Aberdeen Angus beef (very expensive, but delicious) plus beef and lamb from The Prince of Wales' farm at Highgrove; a splendid selection of game and Bronze turkeys from Kelly's at Christmas time. These need ordering, but even then expect long queues when collecting, as the shop is deservedly popular.
Chutneys and a selection of flavoured oils and vinegars are also on offer. Their home-made pies including steak and kidney, coq au vin and game in season have won national awards.
