Now firmly established in smart new premises this excellent shop/restaurant is skillfully run by Martha Greenei. This is without doubt one of London's best delicatessen's.
Marvellous bread from their own bakery, plus some from The Bread Factory and Max Poilane (Paris). Home-made cakes, excellent charcuterie, cheese from Phillip Olivier and Neal's Yard, the very best jam and marmalade, an impressive fruit and vegetable spread often includes salad leaves from Appledore - the list goes on and on.
A buzzy restaurant (q.v) to the rear of the shop offers a menu that begins with breakfast and then moves on to a French bistro-style. The kitchen here prepares terrines and many of the other temptations for sale in the shop.
