'Le Cendrillon' Voted Cheese of the Year - Posted 6th October 2009

A Canadian goats' cheese 'Le Cendrillon' is the surprise winner of this years World Cheese Championship, beating over 2,000 other entries.

The event was held in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and was judged by experts from 24 countries.

Two British cheeses 'Saint Giles' - an organic cows' milk cheese produced by The High Weald Dairy in East Sussex and Long Clawson's 'Stilton' came in the top ten.
