Richard Craven-Smith-Milnes makes hams cooked to an old recipe by gourmet Colonel Dickinson. Pork legs are cured, steamed, then baked with an old-fashioned marmalade glaze. Hams are offered as wholes or halves.
Their Alderton ham has won national awards, and the standard of all their products are high.
These include oak-smoked chicken (in various forms), smoked duck breasts, chicken liver pate with brandy, wild boar with juniper, venison and pheasant terrines plus good seasonal Christmas puddings, in sizes ranging from 1 to over 3lbs .
