Converted from a retirement home in the early 1970's, this comfortable hotel/destination restaurant has been run by the Bland family since that time. It's picturesquely-set on the seafront opposite the Pier.
It still harbours a Victorian elegance, with parlour plants, original fireplaces and deep armchairs in both the bar/lounge and sitting room, while in contrast a bright coffee lounge, beyond the reception desk sports fresh flowers and cane furniture.
Bedrooms (some with air-conditioning), are individually decorated in pretty co-ordinating fabrics and wall coverings with a good eye for detail. All have modern TV's with extra satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk), direct dial phones, mini bars and en suite bathrooms. There are two large suites, particularly suitable for families. Cots and z-beds can be provided, as can a baby listening service.
There are discounts for those staying for 2 nights or more and having half-board in their excellent restaurant. It goes without saying that they are particularly-proud of their breakfasts.
Nearby: Bodnant Gardens RHS. Conwy Castle. Golf. Great Orme Mines. Llandudno Museum. Penrhyn Castle.
