Set in 38 acres of parkland and originally built as a private house in 1816, this hotel and destination restaurant has had many additions over the years (including extensive conference facilities) but is still largely Regency in style.
The public rooms have splendid moulded ceilings, deep sofas, fine antiques and original panelling; and you can eat well in their restaurant or less formal brasserie.
All bedrooms are individually decorated and luxuriously furnished; those in the main building are in a more sumptuous, multi-tasselled style; the newer block is equally palatial, though more restrained in decoration. They all have wide-screen plasma TV's, with DVD players, Wi-Fi Internet access, direct dial phones, MP3 & iPod connection points, personal safes and ensuite bathrooms fitted to the highest standards.
They also have state of the art Spa facilities and excellent eating & conference facilities for the business user. With Putting & perhaps Coarse Fishing might be fitted in somewhere.
