What was originally built as two cottages in the late 18th century, has expanded over the years into a comfortable hotel, popular restaurant and its own pub - The Harbourside - attracting locals and holiday makers alike. If on a modest budget, it's amongst the best places to stay in the area.
It's beautifully set overlooking the old Georgian harbour of Charlestown Village, which is used as a base for Tall Ships and has been a popular filming location for many well-known films and television series.
Most of their comfortable bedrooms overlook the harbour or sea. All have modern TV's, Wi-Fi Internet access, direct dial phones, tea & coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. One has a spa bath, and three larger rooms are particularly-suitable for families - cots and extra beds can be provided for a small charge. Beautiful and safe beaches with entertaining rock pools provide on the spot entertainment.
You can eat light meals in their pub, bistro (see bottom photograph) or more formal restaurant - see below.
