Find the Novotel London Waterloo right next to the River Thames, just minutes from some of the city's top landmarks such as Westminster Cathedral and Big Ben. Its central location means the hotel is also close to some of London's main transport links, making it ideal for those wishing to explore the city. Although we have to add that although geographically the hotel is very central, unless you arrive by car, transport links to the main underground system are not as handily-placed as you might at first imagine - and some walking through a rather uninspiring neighbourhood is needed. However, the reasonable cost of a stay here should largely offset this small gripe.
Their standard bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with simple yet modern decor, and many have impressive views of the city's skyline. All rooms contain modern LCD televisions, as well as large work desks and Wifi access (for a charge), making this a suitable location for guests travelling on business.
For those wanting a higher level of comfort, executive rooms offer luxury slippers and bathrobes, a state of the art coffee machine, and complimentary Wifi access.
Families are well catered for here, with children staying for free up to the age of 16 in the hotel's many large family rooms. However, if you are staying with several children remember that there is no space for more extra beds. To keep younger children occupied, several large play areas are available free of charge, and each child receives a personalized gift from the hotel upon arriving, making their stay feel extra special.
Guests can make use of the hotel's small fitness centre, which contains a selection of cardiovascular equipment and a sauna.
The hotel's Elements Restaurant has a contemporary, relaxed atmosphere, and is particularly popular for business lunches. The modern European menu includes an array of classic dishes, all served in the hotel's elegantly decorated dining room. The bar area offers an extensive snacks menu as well as a wide selection of cocktails; and you'll sometimes find live music.
London Waterloo has six versatile meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of up to 160. Fax machines, printers and internet access are all available, making this a popular location for both intimate board meetings and larger conferences.
Since entering this hotel, there have been complaints about the quality of the sausages served at their buffet breakfasts - a little more research and effort from the catering manager is needed in this department. Breakfast is an extra charge of
