Mulled Wine - Strong

A delicious, but strong winter warmer

Ingredients

2 x 6cm/3ins Cinnamon Sticks
3 blades Mace
4 whole Cloves
1 teaspoon (5ml) Nutmeg
60mg/2 oz Sugar
600ml/1 pint Red Wine
150ml/ ¼ pint Curacoa
150ml/ ¼ pint Brandy
300ml/ ½ pint Water
The juice and rind of 1 Orange

Method

Heat all the ingredients gently, without boiling.

Infuse the mixture for 1 hour, then strain.

When ready to serve, re-heat without boiling.
