Mulled Cider Recipe
A very good winter warmer, or ideal for bonfire night.

2 litres/3 ½pints Dry Farmhouse Cider
2 Apples, washed, cored and sliced (pealing is unnecessary)
2 Oranges, washed and sliced
the juice and zest of 1 Unwaxed Lemon
2 teaspoons/10ml Ground Mixed Spice
8 Whole Cloves
1 large or 2 small Cinnamon Quills
6 tablespoons (90ml) Soft Brown Sugar
1. Put all the ingredients into a stainless steel pan (so as not to have an aluminium version attacked by acid.
2. Cover this mixture, and heat it gently for 1 hour - being extremely careful not to allow it to boil.
Cool a little, then serve, being careful not to let people choke - so maybe sieving.
