Banoffi / Banoffee Ice Cream Recipe
Easy to make, and a luxury addition to lift Banoffi Pie (q.v.) pie into the special occasion league.
2 large tins of Condensed Milk
3 teaspoons of good Instant Coffee
1 teaspoons of Freshly-Ground Coffee
3 ripe Bananas
1 Batch of our 'Vanilla, Simple' or 'Vanilla Rich' Ice Cream (q.v's)
Put the tins of condensed milk in a large deep saucepan and cover them well with water.
- Bring this to the boil and boil for 3 hours, being careful to keep the tins well covered with water at all times.
- Drain the tins and allow them to cool.
- Mash the bananas, then add the coffee and the toffee from the tins of condensed milk.
- Blend this into one batch of either of our two Vanilla Ice Cream (q.v's) - freeze in the normal way.
