Camembert; Baked - Recipe
An easy to make dish, which is ideal as a side dish at a drinks party or barbecue. Pont L’Evêque can be used in the same way.
The important point is that they must be bought in wooden rather than cardboard boxes.
You need a dipping medium – such as breadsticks, strong crisps (perhaps with Root Vegetable or Apple Crisps [q.v.] or lightly-toasted naan bread fingers – so your guests can extract the melted cheese from the box/boxes.

1 box of Camembert per 4-6 guests (depending on what else you are offering)
1. Heat an oven to 200Cº/400ºF/Gas 6
2. Remove any paper labels from the cheese box, and unwrap the cheese from its interior wrapping.
3. Replace the cheese in the box and loosely-cover with its lid.
4. Bake for 20 minutes.
5. Remove the lid from the cheese and make a large cross across the centre of each cheese to make dipping easier.
Serve. (If you are serving more than one cheese, it might be better to stagger their cooking times).
