Part of an excellent expanding restaurant chain. They offer menus of food from the Kerala area of South West India, which is mostly vegetarian, but this branch also offers meat dishes. Few of the dishes on offer have familiar names, but the standard of cooking is high.
So as well as the likes of 'Banana Bali' - (deep fried in batter and served with peanut & ginger sauce); 'Rasam' - (a peppery lentil broth, with spices & tamarind) and 'Masala Vadai' - (delicious deep fried patties served with coconut chutney); they list 'Lambpuffs' - (stuffed with lamb masala and vegetables) among the starters. It specialises in seafood and vegetarian dishes from the Kerala region of Southern India. The dining area consists of several small, exotically-decorated, rooms on the ground and first floors.
Perhaps to be followed by 'Thakkali Pal' - (a sharp curry of tomatoes and coconut milk); 'Chili Onion Rava Dosa' - (a large lacy, crispy pancake, served with lentil & vegetable sauce, coconut chutney and spicy potato masala); 'Home-made Paneer (curd cheese) & Spinach cooked with Garlic, Peppers & Tomatoes in a creamy sauce'; 'Rasa Vangi'- (aubergines cooked in a thick tomato & onion sauce, flavoured with chili) and 'Calicut Chicken Kurma'.
As well as various Kulfi's, there are various other desserts such as 'Baby Banana Pancakes with Cardamom' and 'Kesari' (semolina with mango and cashew nuts).
Service is friendly from waiters in flowing robes.
