Find this good Vietnamese restaurant not far off Oxford Street, so handy for shops & many of London's most popular theatre's and cimena's. It's part of an expanding chain specialising in Vietnamese street food.
Certainly worth trying if you're new to dishes of this type, but all fedback from all their branches has been very positive.
Most is based on natural stocks, made from natural ingredients and taking 12 hours to prepare. Whilst the name Pho (correctly pronounced 'fuh', but 'foe' does the trick), is the national dish of Noodle Soup.
These are the main event, and these are served with a side plate of fresh herbs & chilis (so you can season your soup to taste). Varieties include many-ways with beef - including 'Pho Tai Lan' (flash fried steak with garlic; Hanoi-style); 'Pho Bo Vien' (homemade meatballs) and 'Pho Bo Dac Biet' (steak, brisket & meatball) - a few with Chicken (some such as 'Bun Tom Hue' being spicy & coming with tiger prawns).
There are also Curries, coming with jasmine rice; interesting Salads; Wok-Fried Noodles and Spring Rolls.
A few desserts, such as 'Chuoi Chien' (banana fritters) and good natural fruit sorbets will tempt those with a sweet tooth.
Quite an experience, and recommended if you don't expect frills.
