A Tasting Menu is whats on offer here, and dishes are cooked to a high standard by chef/proprietor Anton Buttery.
This changes with the seasons, but this winter snapshot sets the style of what's offered throughout the year.
Canapés begin proceedings, followed by a taster soup - maybe 'Celeriac & Ham Hock Cappuccino'; a starter follows 'Quail with Parsnip, Apple & Spelt' was one example; a fish course follows (this depends on the local catch); then a meat course, where there's a choice.
Two of these have been 'Duck Breast with Bigarade Sauce' and 'Sirloin of Beef with Cep Sauce'.
West Country cheese follow then a dessert such as 'Mango & Pistachio Mess' or 'Chocolate Brownie'.
A mirrored equally-interesting 'Piscevarian' menu is offered for non meat eaters.
